Our cameras prioritise shooting first. The new camera module leaves space for easy and stable two-handed shooting. This is perfect for shooting with the larger telephoto sensor and creating a smoother zoom crossover in the cameras for natural, creator-first imaging. The two-stage Shutter button provides the same experience as a dedicated camera, needing only to press slightly to focus, then press again to shoot.

PROTECTION FROM WATER, DUST AND DROPS
The Xperia 1 VIII uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 in the front, which contains an average of 25% of pre-consumer recycled content. In addition, it maintains superior scratch resistance and improves drop performance on rougher surfaces. The back features Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® with a special texture and frosted glass finish, making it more resistant to fingerprints and surface scratches. Xperia 1 VIII IP65/683 is also water-resistant and protected against dust.

With both physical SIM and eSIM support. Plus, even with the water and dust resistant body, no special tools are required to swap the SIM card or the up to 2 TB2 microSD card.
